Center for Documentation and Study on Sartiglia

The Center for Documentation and Study on Sartiglia was created with the aim of studying, analyzing and disseminating the history of Sartiglia, the most important equestrian event in Sardinia and the main symbol of the city of Oristano.

It is located on the ground floor of the Sanna Palace, in via Eleonora 15, between the Cathedral and the iconic Piazza Eleonora d’Arborea.

The center can also be visited by tourists, and it acts as a real journey for discovering all about the event and its historical origins.

By visiting the exhibition, it is possible to relive the thrill of the Sartiglia. The exhibition features a presentation on the Gremi, the figure of Su Componidori, the Star Joust, the Pariglie, costumes and decorations, and traditional sounds.
